Angela Schijf loves Bikram Yoga

Dutch actress Angela Schijf fell in love with Bikram Yoga 5 years ago. In her hometown Antwerpen, she practices at Bikram Yoga Antwerp with the inspiring teacher Anna Vranova.  We love it when people share their love for the therapeutic hatha yoga we teach.

There are so many people practicing Bikram Yoga and feeling the benefits of their practice on their physical, mental and emotional well being. These stories go often unheard.
Therefore it is inspiring to read that a well known person is sharing her love for yoga in the Dutch Yoga magazine.

HOLIDAY OVER, no expactations

It is still summer, but the days are slowly getting shorter and your holiday is coming to an end. Maybe you have been far away, or stayed close or at home. The summer might have been a time where you practiced less yoga, or had the opportunity to do more yoga.
The summer can also be a challenging time to come to class. There are so many distractions and so many things to do. Going outside into the sun or finding a cool place in the shade.

Yeah but....

There is always a reason not to do something. Like start taking a Bikram Yoga class. Over the years we have heard many.

People coming to the school asking for information and telling us. I want to do something with my body and mind. I want to feel fit again, energized, a better connection with my body. I am too much in my head.  I want to change. Great we say you have come to the right place.

BIKRAM YOGA IT IS WORTH IT...

The Bikram Yoga series is for everyone, whether you are a stressed-out successful career woman or man, whether you live in the city or in the country, whether you are overweight, or sit behind the computer 8 hours a day at the office.
Maybe you suffer from a chronic disease like diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, arthritis, Parkinson's or another neurological disorder. You can suffer from respiratory, digestive or back problems.

Sitting out a posture

Regularly people, who have just started with Bikram Yoga come to the front desk after class saying; "that was a bad class, I had to skip two postures." Our response is, so good that you sat out those postures. Class is not about doing all the postures, but practing with the right intention. When your body says, stop, you should listen.
